ab hindi mein likhna aur padhan dono he kathin hain so lets start in angreji..

This story pertains to the time when i had just started my college days in Gossner College Ranchi, as a PCM student. (i always remember there was a PCB section which has a 50:50 ratio*). This was my transition from school life to college life; For some junta it remains as school life(usually for CBSE and ICSE boards). Bihar board encourages early start of the college life just after Std. Xth. Being a middle class family kid and also athletic in nature, i use to go to the college, which was about 3 km from my home, by foot. This was the time when i wasn't still over with the triumph of getting a first division in Xth (later i realized how common it was :)) . I asked my father for a Bi-cycle. I told him that i need to concentrate more on studies and walking down to college coming back home as well, tires me and kills a major chunk of my time , which i(a Std. X first Div. guy) could have used for studies. :P
(cycle phase 1)
He was fully convinced and he managed to buy a (second hand) hero jet cycle for me. Being a not so matured kid, i was not very happy about this second hand thing. (just to give you a little background here: i used to stay with my uncle at Ranchi, while my father stays at a Village in Gaya ). I told my father that the second hand cycle will not match the status of my uncle. What will people say: Sinha jee ka bhagina purani cycle se aata hain?
I told him, "After zillions of my request, Uncle is ready to let me have this cycle, but you will have to get this painted". My father succumbed to my demand and i had this poor thing (cycle) painted in green and tatooed with the Hero Jet tag . Now it looked shiny and new and made me feel like a proud owner of a two wheeler.
I took it to Ranchi. Initially, My Uncle and some of the neighbors got surprised and commented few times : are Piyush cycle laaye ho.. but later nobody paid attention. Owning a cycle needs some periodic maintainence, which in turn needs cash :)
The problem was that how many times i could ask my father for cash. So, i started operating my cycle myself. Repairing for small puncture, tightening the breaks etc.. i could do these with apparently no tool-box but the waste material around me. (Yes! i knew i had potential of being and engineer :)). The cycle had survived two winters in Ranchi and here comes the time when +2 is over and i was back to my village for a little vacation. My father told me that son of mr. XYZ has preparing for competitions why don't you also do something like that along with your B.Sc. I obeyed him and headed to Samsatipur (till JEE screening) and then to Patna for Mains preparation. I enrolled for few renowned classes there (KC sinha ki maths ki classes,DK singh, Vijay Kumar; i am sure Patna junta know them very well and they will feel a bit of nostalgia too).

(Cycle phase 2)
Needless to mention that i use my bi-cycle mercilessly to attend these Tution classes. I was not very nice kind of guy (to neighbors in Patna) and i used to take Panga with the people around for no reason. So, some people (i still don't know who) made my cycle vanish from the parking lot. I was very surprised and perplexed ; and later worried about what my uncle will do (to me) for this incident. He is going to kill me with his shlokas: Cycle guma di.. itna samjahte hain .. patha nahi dhyaan kaha rehta hain... bla bla..
Thanks to my saving habits i had some money, which i had saved from my pocket money. A plan was being cooked up in my mind: something like a double role in the hindi movies. I tried looking for a cycle which looks exactly same as my old cycle.I wandered lot many cycle repair shops. Inquired a lot about hero cycles. Some people didn't understand why i needed a cycle with very specific (obsolete kind of) seat type and with a old sort of bell. Finally, i managed to get a similar looking cycle(it was AVON and not HERO JET) with my pocket money and had some of the parts changed so that it appeared as if it was my old cycle. I did this within 3 days, before my uncle could find that the cycle had gone missing.Probably, I made the cycle steelers also believe that the cycle which they stole was not mine but somebody else's. :). Finally no-body knew that it was a replacement cycle(i guess so!).

(cycle phase 3)
I took this cycle to IIT chennai and used it for 4 years. Needless to mention that i had plenty of funds from my Family members to maintain it in good shape. But again the challenge was posed when i was about to pass out and my father (who got me this cycle originally) demanded for it. At this time i was not much afraid of being accused of losing a cycle but i wanted to retain my reputation (of a scrupulous kid) at home. So, i told my Grand pa:,'"father is asking me get that old kabadi cycle at home. The cost of getting the cycle at home is more than buying a new cycle". My Grand pa agreed with me and he took class of my father (LOL). My Father called me up and exempted me to bring that cycle home.

Finally, i gifted this cycle to a security guy at Godavari Hostel and bid adieu to the place.

he he.. chalo bhai logon mera beach jane ka time ho gaya hain.. njoy madi.. :)
